So make sure that the greatest pull on you is the pull of the future.” – Jim Rohn Why get stuck in regret of the past? Why become consumed with the routine of the day at the expense of your dreams? Take time to dream. Take time to create the vision for your future. Dreams create the attraction, the magnetism, the draw that pulls you forward. They create the reason to awaken each morning, excited to take the
Webinar: Making Conscious Decisions
This webinar was requested by one of my students. She has learned as many of us have learned that for most of our lives we have not made conscious decisions. We might not even have made one.To the unconscious ego (which of course thinks it's making all kinds of great decisions and that this webinar doesn't apply to you), this is a very humbling realization. It&#…

Believe in tomorrow
“Change is another name for hope.” Believe in tomorrow. Believe in tomorrow because you intend to be part of it. There are those who have abandoned hope, who no longer dream for tomorrow. There are those who cannot reach tomorrow, because they live passively within limits of mere fantasy. And there are those, like
Why be stuck?
“If you’re in your head, you’re behind enemy lines.” – Mel Robbins Get out of your head. Get into the world. Until you embrace life on a larger level, until you choose to become intimate with the world surrounding you, you remain stuck. Why be stuck? Why not discover fresh ideas, enlightening experiences, new people? Why not get out of your head and into the world of possibility?
Dare the effort
“Make it your job to do what you don’t want to do.” Few get up an hour earlier each morning – to start the day and engage the world while most stay cozy in bed. Few will embrace the difficult task when an easy way out is in sight. And fewer still will dare the big effort – the sacrifice today – for a payoff that’s not quite in view. Life is about what you need to do, not what you want to do. Doing what you don’t want to do is the mojo that separates achievers from also-rans. Make it your job to do what you don’t want to do.
Learning to Focus on Abundance Instead of Scarcity
During challenging times it can be extremely difficult to maintain a positive mental focus. Perhaps you have wrestled with this yourself. At those times when all your resources seem to be evaporating, do you find it difficult to focus on abundance? Consciously and consistently moving your focus away from lack and scarcity is one of the most effective things you can …
Feeling Like You’re Not Enough
One of the core programs of the unconscious ego goes something like this: "I am never good enough." It's a simple little idea that infects and destroys countless lives. It can take an easy, wonderful life and destroy it because a person is simply never satisfied. I can think of one relative …
Is Your Child Being Bullied? What You Can Do
No parent wants to hear that their child is being bullied. Sadly, though, it is far from a rare experience among young people in the UK. The statistics are sobering. Almost half of children and young adults claim they have been bullied at school at some point in their lives, and between 2011 and 2012 the …

Will we whisper or shout?
“It makes little sense to dream small.” – Angelica Powers Why do we settle for less when more is there just for the asking? Why do we fall into the trap of dreaming small? Is it because we focus on lack instead of abundance? Is it because we won’t acknowledge just how worthy we are? Is it because we fear the great power of choice we possess? Every day, we choose. Will we whisper or will we shout our dreams? Will we boldly step forward to possess what is ours for the asking? Or will we hold back and settle for less?

How deep is your reservoir?
“Get smart.” Trusting your gut is not the same as flying by the seat of your pants. Yet many – maybe you – make crucial, life altering decisions daily with little knowledge and sketchy research. Trusting your gut is not an act of blind faith, it’s not placing your fate at the mercy of your ignorance. Those who seem to have that sixth sense, that knack to make quick and accurate judgement calls are also those who have cultivated a reservoir of knowledge. Some comes through the distillation of experience, but much shows up because they took the time to read, to study, to inquire and ask deeper …

Children and Grief – When a Sibling Is Lost
Dealing with the death of a child is something we all hope to never have to face. For those of us who must, it can be a battle between coping with our own devastating grief and the struggle to know how best to deal with our surviving children. While it’s easy to just hope that children are resilient, and in some ways of course they …

Stay hungry
“Want power creates willpower.” – Nido Qubein Desire and enthusiasm drive you. That hunger, that excitement for more, for better, are what incite you to awaken a little earlier each morning and get started, once again, on the design and forward progression of your life. You must cultivate a craving. You must elevate your desire. You must turn on, and energize, the mutual attraction to what you want. You won’t get what you want; you won’t take the extra steps or make the extra effort until you’re hungry for it. Hunger changes everything. So get hungry, or go home.
Is it Goal Setting or just Wishful Thinking?
To a person with a progressive mindset, goal setting represents an opportunity for continued growth and achievement. It’s like being able to create a new beginning any time and for any reason. By nature, some of us are hardwired to want to keep making progress in all areas of our life. We enjoy the process of setting our sights on something, and then pursuing that desired outcome until it is realized. There is a special kind of gratification that comes from challenging ourselves to meet a higher standard and then rising to meet that challenge. Don’t let goal setting be reduced to wishful thinking While we are at it, let’s also acknowledge that the other side of that coin is the fact that even…
How to Face Your Inner Darkness
It's been awhile since I brought our attention to the darkness and the shadows–at least not overtly. Ultimately, we're always opening our eyes and our hearts to the whole of life–light, dark, and shadow. So at no time is this spiritual awakening blog ever ignoring that. However, sometimes, I am not highlighting darkness quite so directly, and I felt like…
